About

Hey! I’m Maria,

I’m an artist from Liverpool, Primarily I create illustrations digitally or with inks but I love to experiment and play with a whole variety of different artistic mediums. As well as illustration I love to design and produce garments and more recently wonderfully strange up-cycled textile creatures.

 

A large source of my inspiration comes from fantasy, folklore, fairytales and nature. I am greatly infatuated with many world wide folklore/mythology’s, from the fascinating yokai of Japan to the dwarves,elves and trolls of the Nordic Poetic Edda.

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA degree in fashion design. Through this I have a vast knowledge of garment design and construction techniques from illustration and photography to pattern drafting, technical pack making and construction of garments. Since finishing university I’ve collected hobbies and worked on my doodles and from that I have created my own little business making wonderful nature and magick inspired jewellery, art, upcycled Bespoke Creature plushies, you can find out more on the LunaError tab!

 

And finally I have a little black cat called Zelda and I love video games.

These two things also heavily inspire my work!
